The RoleNimble Robotics is seeking a high-agency, experienced Maintenance Supervisor to lead our maintenance team within our cutting‑edge e‑commerce fulfillment facility. In this role, you will not just manage; you will execute, inspire, and optimize. You will supervise a team of skilled Maintenance Technicians performing critical corrective and preventive maintenance on complex mechanical, material handling, and proprietary automated robotics systems. As the bridge between site leadership, advanced robotics engineering teams, and floor technicians, you will own the uptime, safety, and operational excellence of a next‑generation autonomous warehouse.
Responsibilities- Lead & inspire:
Dictate daily schedules, prioritize tasks, and delegate assignments to the maintenance team. Mentor technicians to foster a culture of extreme ownership and technical excellence. - Bridge hardware & software:
Oversee repairs on advanced robotics, material handling equipment, and building infrastructure. Work alongside engineering teams (local and global) to troubleshoot hardware‑software mismatches. - Own the data:
Drive the adoption of our digital workflow. Ensure all work orders, parts usage, and time tracking are accurately logged by your team. - Maximize uptime:
Develop, refine, and enforce rigorous preventative maintenance (PM) programs to minimize operational disruptions. - Inventory control:
Oversee parts inventory levels, tools, and supplies. Coordinate with management and distribution networks to ensure critical spares are always stocked. - Safety champion:
Enforce strict adherence to safety procedures, OSHA codes, and standard operating procedures (SOPs). Actively identify, mitigate, and correct unsafe conditions. - Technical documentation:
Read, interpret, and train technicians on complex schematics, diagrams, manuals, and advanced engineering documentation.
- High school diploma or equivalent, combined with a minimum of 5 years of experience in industrial maintenance/repair, featuring at least 2 years in a leadership or supervisory role within an automated fulfillment or manufacturing environment.
- Proven ability to read and interpret advanced safety rules, operating/maintenance instructions, technical diagrams, and procedure manuals.
- Excellent communication skills; ability to deliver clear directives to technicians, draft performance reports, and confidently brief upper management and engineering representatives.
- Tech‑savvy operator:
Proficient in navigating computer systems and modern software ecosystems.
- High-agency problem solving:
Ability to solve highly practical problems and thrive in environments where limited standardization exists. You can collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions under pressure. - Advanced technical aptitude:
Experience dealing with complex automated systems, PLCs, firmware updates, or robotics infrastructure. - Exceptional interpersonal skills:
Ability to give and receive constructive criticism, manage interpersonal team dynamics, prevent personal conflicts from impacting warehouse uptime, and maintain extreme professionalism. - Regular use of hand tools, reach into tight spaces, and utilize radios/phones for constant team communication.
- Comfortable working and walking at elevated heights using appropriate fall protection equipment.
- Frequently required to stand, walk, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl to inspect technician work and equipment.
