Material Handler

Overview

The Warehouse Material Handler is responsible for receiving, storing, organizing, and issuing materials, equipment, and supplies in a safe and efficient manner. This role supports warehouse operations by maintaining accurate inventory records, preparing materials for shipment, and ensuring materials are readily available to support business operations.

Responsibilities

* Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments for accuracy and damage.

* Store materials in designated warehouse locations while maintaining organization and cleanliness.

* Pick, pack, and stage materials, equipment, and supplies for delivery or shipment.

* Load and unload trucks using forklifts, pallet jacks, or other material handling equipment.

* Maintain inventory accuracy through cycle counts and inventory tracking systems.

* Assist with shipping and receiving documentation and recordkeeping.

* Operate warehouse equipment safely and in accordance with company policies.

* Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

* Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and applicable regulations.

* Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

* Previous warehouse, inventory, shipping, receiving, or material handling experience preferred.

* Basic computer skills and experience with inventory management systems are a plus.

* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

* Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

* Ability to communicate effectively with coworkers, vendors, and customers.

* High school diploma or GED equivalent required.

* Ability to frequently lift, carry, push, and pull materials weighing up to 50 pounds.

* Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb, and perform repetitive movements throughout the workday.

* Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather and environmental conditions.

* Must meet conditional job offer requirements including background, drug test (hair follicle), MVR, fit for duty and agility.
