Job Description:

The Warehouse Manager is a key member of the Liberty Hill-based Afinitas Concrete Accessories Team, primarily responsible for all warehouse operations and leadership of warehouse team members. Like all team members at the Liberty Hill location, the warehouse manager will be expected to assist with tasks outside of the primary description as needed.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Oversee receipt, inspection and storage of inbound freight to ensure inventory is organized for efficient identification, counting, and picking. Communicates any issues to appropriate Supply Chain buyer.
  • Oversee the picking and packing processes of customer sales orders, ensuring correct items and quantities are delivered within specified order time. This includes QC check of outbound freight prior to releasing for delivery.
  • Communicate daily & weekly priorities to warehouse associates to ensure clear responsibilities and expectations for the team.
  • Plan and supervise the modernization of warehouse operations, including use of ERP technology, storage solutions, scanning technologies and capital investments to improve efficiencies.
  • Work closely with other site colleagues to identify, propose and execute process and workflow improvements.
  • Oversee cycle-count program to ensure adherence to Barry-Wehmiller cycle count requirements. Root cause and fix recurring inventory accuracy issues.
  • Foster a strong safety culture that encourages team members to work safely, identify and correct potential hazards, and report safety concerns or incidents to management.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area in the warehouse with defined locations for activities and materials.
  • Responsible for booking daily outbound shipments to Afinitas customers.
  • Work closely with freight carriers and 3PLs (3rd party logistics companies) to ensure competitive pricing and dependable service for customer deliveries.
  • Resolve freight issues such as delayed, partial, or missing deliveries. Work with carriers and customers to resolve issues in a timely manner, as well as work with insurance providers to recover losses.
  • Specialty projects may be assigned as needed related to warehouse improvements at Liberty Hill or other Afinitas sites.
Qualifications
  • 5 years + in warehouse operations working in a supervisory or management role.
  • Post-Secondary bachelor’s degree or diploma preferred.
  • Experience executing warehouse operations and process improvements including but not limited to workflow, bin/storage locations, racking configuration, material movement in/out of warehouse, and cycle counts.
  • Proficient operator of forklifts, scales, and other warehouse equipment.
  • Experience with industry software such as MS Office Suite, Salesforce, Infor ERP, or similar.
  • Excellent listening and critical thinking skills with a strong customer service focus.
  • Strong verbal and written interpersonal/communication skills required.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and adapt to shifting priorities.
  • Ability to learn new tasks and evolve/improve existing ways of doing things.
  • Ability to work individually as well as in a team environment.
