Position: Debt Collection Supervisor / Asst Manager
Company Description  Impetus Collection Services is a domestic debt recovery partner for banks and non-banking financial companies (NBFCs), delivering focused credit collection and debt monitoring solutions. Impetus enables organizations to concentrate on business development while it manages end-to-end recovery processes.

The company integrates collections, analytics, and legal action, using methods such as tele-calling, field visits, arbitration, and execution of awards and decrees to support fast and compliant debt recovery.

Role Description  This is a full-time, on-site role for a Debt Collection Supervisor / Assistant Manager, based in Thane The individual will oversee a team of collection agents, monitoring performance, guiding daily activities, and ensuring adherence to company policies and regulatory requirements. Responsibilities include planning and allocating portfolios, tracking recovery progress, analyzing collection data, and implementing strategies to improve recovery rates and reduce delinquency.

The role involves handling escalated cases, coordinating with legal and finance teams on complex accounts, and maintaining clear, professional communication with customers and client representatives. The supervisor/assistant manager will also be expected to conduct training, maintain accurate reports, and contribute to process improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong debt collection and recovery management skills, with experience in supervising collection teams.
Candidates should possess solid analytical skills and the ability to interpret portfolio data to drive strategy and decisions.
Candidates should possess clear, professional communication skills and the ability to manage escalations and negotiations.
Candidates should possess customer service capabilities that support respectful, compliant, and solution-oriented interactions.
Candidates should possess foundational finance knowledge related to lending, delinquency, and recovery processes.
Relevant experience in banking, NBFCs, or collections agencies is preferred, along with familiarity with legal recovery processes.
Ability to lead teams, set targets, and coach staff, with strong organizational and time-management skills.
Graduate degree in business, commerce, finance, or a related field is desirable; proficiency with MS Excel and reporting tools is an advantage.
