Build the work before it ever hits the field.

My Client is looking for a sharp, detail-driven Estimator to support preconstruction efforts across underground utilities, data centers, and municipal infrastructure projects. This is a high-impact role where your numbers directly influence what gets built—and how successfully it gets delivered.

This is not a plug-and-play position. We’re looking for someone who understands the work, identifies risk early, and builds estimates that win.

• Develop detailed cost estimates for civil and utility construction projects
• Analyze plans, specs, and bid documents with precision
• Perform quantity takeoffs and pricing for labor, materials, and equipment
• Solicit and level subcontractor and supplier bids
• Identify risks, gaps, and opportunities within each bid package
• Partner with project managers and leadership on bid strategy
• Support value engineering and cost optimization efforts

• 3+ years of estimating experience in heavy civil or utility construction
• Strong knowledge of underground utilities (wet, electrical, telecom)
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
• Experience with estimating software and digital takeoff tools
• High attention to detail with a strong analytical mindset
• Self-starter who can manage multiple bids in a fast-paced environment
