Food Service Administrative Assistant Description

The Call Desk Sales Representative will be responsible for maintaining our current Food Service customers, with the opportunity to increase revenue by building strong professional relationships with each customer. Prospect for new business by cold calling current and prospective customers to present our Food Service and Special Events Programs.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Make follow-up phone calls to customers after the order is completed to build strong customer relationships. Ensure they have received their order and provide quality customer service and inquire if there is anything else we can do for them at this time.
  • Ability to explain at the customer level.
  • Promote new items to all food service customers.
  • Promote and sell the Special Events Program through cold calling and explore other effective marketing methods.
  • Front Admin Backup.
  • Paid Vacation – Two Weeks after one year of employment. Eligible for one of the two weeks after 6 months of employment. Three Weeks after ten years of employment.

Work Environment & Physical Demands

This position operates in a professional office setting and involves regular use of standard office equipment, including computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines.

While performing the duties of this role, the employee will:

  • Regularly sit for extended periods
  • Frequently stand, walk, talk, and hear
  • Frequently use hands to handle, touch, or feel objects and reach with hands and arms
  • Occasionally lift or move up to 20 pounds, typically involving office equipment
  • Specific vision abilities include the ability to view computer monitors for prolonged periods

  • Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Proven listening, presentation, and closing abilities
  • Effective time - management and prioritization skills
  • Comfortable handling a high volume of inbound and outbound phone interactions
  • Demonstrated excellence in customer service and relationship building
  • High School Diploma / GED equivalent.
  • Must have a dependable vehicle with valid vehicle insurance coverage and a license.
  • Ability to work Holidays when the company is open for business.
  • Strong Computer Skills Are a Must (Expertise in Excel, Word, and Outlook).
  • Must successfully pass all pre-employment screenings, including background check, MVR, drug screen, physical, and HPE.
  • Must be able to work in a smoke-free environment.
  • Must adhere to the company dress code; visible tattoos or body piercings are not permitted when wearing a company uniform or job-related attire.
