$46,665-$93,402 (non-PERS)
$49,643-$99,362 (PERS)
Job Purpose Statement: The job of “Teacher - Classroom (CTE)” is done for the purpose of developing students’ academic and interpersonal skills through academic courses of study and implementing District approved curriculum; documenting teaching and student progress/activities/outcomes; addressing specific educational needs of students; providing a safe and optimal learning environment; providing feedback to students, parents and administration regarding student progress, expectations and goals.
The focus of this position is to provide career and technical education around computer applications, design, programming and use in education and workplace.
- BA/BS or higher degree (required) with a major in one or more of the following areas:
Curriculum, Elementary Education, Secondary Education, Content Area (Math, Science, Language Arts, Social Studies, Economics, Geography, Biology, Physics, and/or Technology). - Valid Oregon Teaching License and endorsement(s) from the Teacher Standards and Practices Commission in the State of Oregon; willingness to teach any qualified subject area.
Eligible for Career and Technical Teaching licensure
. - Must hold a current recognized first aid card or be willing to obtain one if directed by the district under ORS 342.664 (2).
- Skills to motivate students, communicate with individuals from varied educational and cultural backgrounds, direct support personnel, evaluate performance.
- Knowledge of age-appropriate teaching methods, state curriculum framework, education code, and appropriate instructional subjects.

- Provide a variety of classroom techniques and methods.
- Promote high levels of achievement in relation to individual student abilities.
- Use techniques and methodologies appropriate to student abilities.
