The job of “Teacher – Classroom (Secondary)” is to develop students’ academic and interpersonal skills through academic courses, implement district‑approved curriculum, document teaching and student progress, address educational needs, provide a safe and optimal learning environment, and give feedback to students, parents, and administration regarding progress, expectations, and goals.

Job Qualifications & Licensure- BA/BS or higher degree
* required* with major in curriculum, elementary or secondary education, or similar content area (e.g., social studies, economics, geography) - Valid Oregon teaching license and endorsement(s) from the Teacher Standards and Practices Commission; willingness to teach any qualified subject area
- Must meet Highly Qualified Requirements with endorsed areas of assignment
- Skills to motivate students, communicate with diverse individuals, direct support personnel, and evaluate performance
- Knowledge of age‑appropriate teaching methods, state curriculum framework, education code, and appropriate instructional subjects
- Drug screening test for any illegal drug or substance classified in Schedules I through V under the Federal Controlled Substances Act (including marijuana and other controlled substances)
- Criminal history verification – background check for convictions directly related to the duties; only job‑related convictions will be considered
- Citizenship, residency, or work visa required
