• Develop students’ academic and interpersonal skills through scholarly instruction.
• Implement district‑approved curriculum and state standards.
• Document teaching and student progress, including activities and outcomes.
• Address specific educational needs of students.
• Create a safe and optimal learning environment.
• Provide feedback to students, parents, and administration regarding student progress, expectations, and goals.

• BA/BS or higher degree (required) with a major in curriculum, elementary education, secondary education, or a related content area (Math, Science, Language Arts, Social Studies, Economics, Geography, Biology, Physics, Reading, Early Childhood Education, or similar).
• Valid Oregon Teaching License and endorsement(s) from the Teacher Standards and Practices Commission; willingness to teach any qualified subject area.
• Must meet Highly Qualified Requirements with endorsed areas of assignment.
• Skills to motivate students, communicate with diverse educational and cultural backgrounds, direct support personnel, and evaluate performance.
• Knowledge of age‑appropriate teaching methods, state curriculum frameworks, education code, and appropriate instructional subjects.
