Elementary Teacher – LTCT Mental Health Program (26‑27 SY)

North Wasco County School District is pleased to announce that we are seeking qualified applicants for the Elementary Teacher Mental Health Program K‑5. The district includes three elementary schools.

• $47,930 – $95,933 (non‑PERS)
• $50,988 – $102,055 (PERS)

The Elementary Classroom Teacher is hired to develop students’ academic and interpersonal skills through the district’s approved curriculum, document teaching and student progress, address specific educational needs, provide a safe learning environment, and give feedback to students, parents, and administration.

• BA/BS or higher degree (required) with a major in Curriculum, Elementary Education, Reading, Early Childhood Education, or similar
• Valid Oregon teaching license meeting Highly Qualified Requirements
• Knowledge of age‑appropriate teaching methods, state curriculum, education code, and instructional subjects
• Willingness to teach any qualified subject area
• Ability to communicate effectively with diverse students and families

• Provide a variety of classroom techniques and methods.
• Promote high achievement for all students.
• Use student‑centered instructional strategies.
• Develop and deliver lesson plans aligned with district standards.
• Maintain a positive learning environment with clear behavior rules.
• Assess and document student progress; provide timely feedback.
• Manage classroom materials and records accurately.
