Job Purpose Statement:
The job of “Teacher
- Classroom (Middle Level)” is to develop students’ academic and interpersonal skills through approved curriculum; document teaching and student progress; address educational needs; provide a safe and optimal learning environment; provide feedback to students, parents and administration regarding progress, expectations and goals.

• BA/BS or higher degree (required) with a major in one or more of the following areas:
  Curriculum, Elementary Education, Secondary Education, MIDLVL-Multi-Subject, or related content area (Math, Science, Language Arts, Social Studies, Economics, Geography, Biology, Physics, Reading, Early Childhood Education, or similar).
• Valid Oregon Teaching License and endorsement(s) from the Teacher Standards and Practices Commission in the State of Oregon; willingness to teach any qualified subject area.
• (Must meet Highly Qualified Requirements) with endorsed areas of assignment.
• Ability to motivate students, communicate with individuals from varied educational and cultural backgrounds, direct support personnel, and evaluate performance.
• Knowledge of age-appropriate teaching methods, state curriculum framework, and education code.
