Medical Technologist Performs chemical, microscopic, and microbiological test assays and related duties to obtain results for use in diagnosis and treatment of disease. Performs related duties in laboratory to include storing and labeling specimens and using manual and automatic equipment to prepare specimens and perform analytical tests. Performs procedures that exclude any to be performed only by licensed clinical laboratory scientists as defined by State licensure regulations.

Supervises phlebotomists, offers suggestions and provides guidance as needed.

Night Shift/5 years minimum experience/Experienced in Overnights/7days on 7days off/Start date is 3/9 or earlier/Manager will discuss how the hours will work.

Education and

Work Experience:

Bachelor?s Degree in medical technology, clinical laboratory science, biological sciences, chemical sciences or allied health technologies or equivalent:
Required Two years Medical Technologist experience in hospital setting:
Preferred

Licenses/Certifications:

Current state Medical Technologist or Medical Laboratory Scientist license:
Preferred in CA and HICurrent certification from American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) or National Credentialing Agency for Labs (NCA) :
For CA and HI:
Preferred Facility Specific License/

Certifications:

Medical Technologist (MT) or MLS:
