Job Title
Onsite Data Center Cabling Project Technician – The Dalles, OR (Onsite)
Location and DurationThe Dalles, OR
• Duration: 1 year (Start: End of June/Early July 2026 – June 2027)
Multiple shifts – details to come.
Required Skills- Hardware installation, configuration, break/fix, and decommissioning
- Familiarity with data center cabling (copper & fiber, installation and troubleshooting, ability to understand port maps and point‑to‑point connections)
- General understanding of enterprise‑level data center infrastructure
- Project experience, including management or deployment
- Experience with Data Center Infrastructure Management (DCIM) tools (OpenDCIM, Nlyte, Sunbird)
- Experience with ticketing systems (Remedy, Remedy Force, Service Now)
- Inspect and clean fiber cables
- Label cables on both ends with Flag Labeler (customer provides labeling schema)
- Install pre‑terminated fiber cables according to the provided cabling matrix (utilize existing pathways and overhead ladder racks/trays)
- Secure and organize cables
- Provide onsite equipment: fiber inspection probe, flag label printer, fiber cleaning kits
- Inter‑rack and intra‑rack fiber – no backbone
