Property Maintenance Technician (The Dalles/Goldendale)

DescriptionResponsible for maintaining the community to a high standard of landscaping, cleanliness, safety, and general physical upkeep, ensuring all areas of the park are in compliance with company, state, federal, and insurance policy regulations. Must manage and maintain the park with deep care and consistently model the organizational purpose, values, and standards.
Duties / Responsibilities- Maintain tools and equipment in working order; keep the maintenance room neat and organized.
- Safely use power tools when required.
- Mow lawns, remove weeds, brushes, and perform other yard work including snow, leaf, and debris removal.
- Open clogged drains, fix leaks, and perform other simple plumbing jobs.
- Install appliances, including ovens, ranges, washers, dryers, and dishwashers.
- Touch‑up painting and repaint buildings, cabinets, or rooms as required.
- Change light bulbs, replace fixtures, and perform similar minor electrical tasks.
- Clean homes to prepare for sale.
- Clean laundry rooms and common areas such as bathrooms and clubhouses.
- Assist with loading or unloading trucks and moving furniture when needed.
- Take ownership of property curb‑appeal by keeping the exterior of the community clean and maintained.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment and follow all safety and emergency procedures.
- Follow PPE and compliance regulations established by OSHA.
- Regularly engage with residents and maintain positive relationships with team, residents, and vendors.
- Be available to take emergency calls outside of pre‑established office hours and assist in coordinating solutions.
- Safely perform physical duties outdoors for extended periods of time during all four seasons.
- Exercise financial responsibility in the acquisition of necessary on‑site materials and use of company funds.
- Submit expense reports in a timely manner.
- Other duties as assigned.

- High School Diploma or GED.
- 2+ years of maintenance experience including basic plumbing, electrical, and carpentry.
- 1+ years of customer service experience required.
- Proficient with Microsoft Word & Outlook; ability to quickly learn new project management systems.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently.
- Desire to take initiative and solve problems.
- $17–21/hour DOE.
- 40‑hr workweek; multi‑site between Goldendale, WA and The Dalles, OR.
