- Repair and maintain machinery and mechanical equipment, including electric motors, hydraulic pumps and valves, pneumatic and hydraulic cylinders, cranes, automatic saws, and conveyor/belt systems
- Repair and replace defective parts; lubricate and clean parts
- Perform lockout/tagout procedures according to company policy
- Install and assist with new and replacement equipment
- Perform preventative maintenance with regular inspections
- Follow safety rules, guidelines, PPE requirements, and department JSAs
- Complete near-miss paperwork and immediately report unsafe conditions or actions
- Maintain housekeeping and 5S in assigned work areas
- Contribute to a safe, secure, healthy workplace and the company’s environmental obligations and goals
- Perform other duties as assigned
- MVP navigation has a full year of completed PMs and WO without being coached
- Proficient at welding, prep, cutting torch, plasma, track burner
- Basic knowledge of table rebuilding, pan sections, troughing refractory repairs, snif
- Hydraulic basics: hose repairs, valving, basic schematic knowledge
- Pneumatics basics: hose rebuilds, threading pipe, dry air system
- Burner repair; able to diagnose fuel oxygen ratios with meter
- Navigate stores, checking out parts and knowing critical spares
- Completion of Level 2 NCCER training
Demonstrates expertise in repairing and maintaining machinery and mechanical equipment, including proficiency in welding and hydraulic and pneumatic systems. Committed to safety protocols, preventative maintenance, and environmental responsibilities.
