Job OverviewWatercrest Buena Vista is looking for a Bartender to join our team. Provide a premier culinary experience for our residents in an engaging, upscale environment. Bring your expertise to the table and apply today!
Key Responsibilities- Deliver a consistently high level of customer service to each resident and maintain a safe environment by identifying problematic guests and ensuring their removal.
- Keep the bar area clean in accordance with company guidelines and local health department requirements.
- Maintain an accurate charge drawer throughout the day, reconcile discrepancies, and close out the POS at close daily.
- Mix all drinks based on serving sizes outlined in the company manual to keep drink costs at a minimum.
- Develop an efficient work pace that keeps residents at the bar and in the dining room satisfied at all times.
- Present company uniform and be resident ready at all times.
- Resume and proven working experience as a bartender.
- Excellent knowledge of mixing, garnishing, and serving drinks.
- Positive attitude and excellent communication skills.
- Ability to keep the bar organized, stocked and clean.
- Relevant training certificate and SERV Safe-Bar Certification.
- Computer literacy.
- High School Graduate or equivalent.
- One (1) year as a bartender in a large-scale cooking operation, preferably in senior living or restaurant.
- Able to stand or walk 75% of the day.
- Able to concentrate with frequent interruptions.
- Able to work under stress and in emergency situations.
- Able to work under conditions requiring sitting, standing, walking, reaching, pulling, pushing, and grasping.
- Able to talk and hear effectively to convey instructions and information.
- Occasionally lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
- Work in all areas of the community.
- Subject to reactions from dust, disinfectants, cleaning chemicals, infectious waste, diseases, and other conditions.
- Use personal protective equipment and supplies when needed to prevent burns, falls, and infection.
- Required PPE includes: infection control kit, rubber gloves, non‑slip shoes, apron, hair net, chef’s hat and coat, hot pads, short sleeves.
