Energetic Sanitation Driver/Pitcher Needed

We're looking for an energetic, reliable Sanitation Driver/Pitcher to join a 2-person truck team. You'll alternate between driving a commercial garbage truck on pre-assigned routes and riding the back of the truck as a pitcher, collecting waste from residential homes. This role is physically demanding, 100% outdoors, and essential to keeping our communities clean and running. After 90 days, attendance and performance will be reviewed for consideration of permanent placement.

Pay: $24.00 per hour

• Drive garbage trucks on pre-assigned routes; alternate as pitcher riding the back of the truck to collect waste
• Load trash and transport waste safely to disposal sites
• Tag bulk items for scheduled separate pickup
• Adhere to established routes and schedules using route maps
• Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections; ensure truck is fueled, serviced, and cleaned
• Perform light preventive maintenance on vehicles
• Follow all safety protocols for waste handling, vehicle operation, and traffic laws
• Interact courteously and professionally with residents during collection
• Respond to emergency callouts as needed

• Valid driver's license — CDL preferred or required to operate commercial vehicle
• Physical stamina — role requires repetitive heavy lifting, prolonged standing, continuous bending, twisting, and climbing
• Ability to work in all weather conditions outdoors year-round
• Reliable and punctual — attendance is an essential function of this role
• Steel-toed boots (required on day one — no exceptions)
• Willingness to work all holidays except Thanksgiving and Christmas
