Sanitation Driver ​/ Pitcher

About the Role

Seeking a reliable and safety-focused Sanitation Driver / Pitcher to join a waste collection team. This position works as part of a 2-person crew, alternating between driving and waste collection duties on residential routes. Candidates must be comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions and performing physically demanding work.

Pay:
Up to $24.00 per hour.

• Operate garbage trucks on assigned routes.
• Ride on the back of the truck to collect residential waste.
• Load and transport waste safely to disposal sites.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
• Follow OSHA safety standards and PPE requirements.
• Maintain route schedules and provide professional customer interaction.
• Perform light vehicle maintenance and fueling.
• Support emergency response duties as needed.

• Valid CDL and current DOT medical card required.
• 2+ years of commercial driving experience within the last 5 years.
• Waste industry experience preferred but not required.
• Must pass background check and drug screening.
• Steel-toed boots required.
• Ability to lift heavy objects and work in outdoor weather conditions.
• Strong commitment to safety and teamwork.
• Reliable attendance is essential.
