Job Summary: The Financial Reporting - Lead is a key member of the accounting organization, responsible for leading the Company’s external and internal financial reporting process and supporting complex accounting and financial analysis. This role serves as a subject‑matter expert and primary coordinator for SEC reporting activities, ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of all deliverables. The position requires strong technical accounting expertise, analytical capabilities, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced public company environment.

The Lead operates with a high degree of autonomy and plays a central role in maintaining compliance with U.S. GAAP, SEC regulations, and SOX requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and coordinate the preparation of SEC filings, including Forms 10‑K, 10‑Q, 8‑K, and registration statements; manage reporting timelines and coordinate cross‑functional inputs.
  • Prepare and review financial statements, footnotes, and disclosures in accordance with U.S. GAAP and SEC requirements.
  • Prepare monthly consolidated financial statements and supporting schedules; assist in management reporting packages and variance analysis; provide insights into financial performance and key drivers.
  • Perform and lead research on complex accounting matters and new accounting standards; draft and review technical accounting memos; evaluate and implement new accounting pronouncements and assess business impacts.
  • Serve as a subject‑matter expert for accounting guidance across the organization and support SOX compliance by documenting and maintaining internal controls over financial reporting.
  • Coordinate audit deliverables and support requests for both internal and external audits; serve as primary point of contact for auditors on reporting‑related matters.
  • Lead reporting timelines and act as the quarter‑end close quarterback; drive process improvements, automation, and standardization within the financial reporting function.
  • Review and validate financial data used in investor presentations, earnings releases, and external communications; ensure consistency across all externally reported financial information.
  • Assist with preparation of Audit Committee and Board of Directors materials; support bank reporting, compliance requirements, and certifications; participate in forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis; support merger and acquisition activities, including purchase accounting and integration efforts.

Education and Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (required).
  • CPA certification (required or strongly preferred).
  • 4‑6 years of relevant experience (public accounting and/or public company reporting preferred).

Technical Skills

  • Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and SEC reporting requirements.
  • Experience with financial reporting systems and ERP platforms.
  • Experience with Workiva (preferred).
