LHH Recruitment Solutions is partnering with a growing, publicly traded organization to identify a Staff Accountant. This opportunity is ideal for an accounting professional looking to build upon their month-end close experience while gaining exposure to financial reporting, reconciliations, cash analysis, and cross-functional business partnerships.
This role offers strong mentorship, exposure to a fast-paced corporate accounting environment, and the opportunity to contribute to a high-performing finance team supporting a dynamic and growing business.
Primary responsibilities of the Staff Accountant role include:- Assist with month-end close activities, including journal entries, accruals, and general ledger maintenance
- Prepare account reconciliations and investigate variances to ensure accurate financial reporting
- Support the preparation and analysis of financial statements and management reports
- Maintain supporting schedules and documentation for audit and internal control requirements
- Assist with cash reporting, bank reconciliations, and daily treasury-related activities
- Process and review accounting transactions related to payroll, expenses, and operational costs
- Partner with operational and corporate departments to support accounting initiatives and resolve discrepancies
- Analyze financial data and recommend process improvements to enhance reporting accuracy and efficiency
- Participate in special projects and ad hoc analyses as needed
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting required
- 1-3+ years of accounting experience, including general ledger and month-end close responsibilities
- Public accounting experience and/or experience within a corporate accounting environment is highly desirable
- Strong understanding of financial statements and accounting fundamentals
- Advanced Excel skills with the ability to analyze and manipulate data effectively
- Experience working with ERP systems;
Oracle experience is a plus - Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach to teamwork
