JOB SUMMARYThe Global Contracts & Sourcing Manager is a key member of the procurement team, who is responsible for the analysis and management of contracts related to the procurement of goods and services to support the Excelerate Energy business. The manager will leverage their expertise in procurement and contract analytics, contract negotiations and development, supplier management, and cost analysis. They will play a vital role in driving procurement excellence and strategic sourcing initiatives to support the operational efficiency and success of our operations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify procurement contract needs aligned with business objectives and facilitate the contract development and award process between stakeholders and vendors.
- Conduct market research and supplier evaluations to identify potential vendors and sourcing opportunities, ensuring optimal quality, cost, and delivery performance.
- Analyze sourcing trends, market dynamics, and industry best practices to inform decision-making and drive continuous improvement in procurement processes.
- Facilitate contract negotiations with suppliers, leveraging market insights and competitive intelligence to secure favorable terms, pricing, and conditions.
- Lead the end‑to‑end contract lifecycle, including strategy development, drafting, negotiation, execution, administration, amendments, renewals, and close‑out for LNG terminal and fleet‑related contracts
- Partner with Legal to manage contract review, redlines, approvals, and execution while ensuring alignment with corporate contracting standards and risk frameworks.
- Ensure all contracts are properly uploaded, tracked, and maintained in the contract management system, including compliance with audit and governance requirements.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate commercial and contractual risks, including performance obligations, liabilities, warranties, and termination clauses.
- Draft, review, and finalize procurement contracts, including master service agreements, purchase orders, and supplier agreements, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Analyze pricing proposals, cost structures, and cost models to evaluate supplier competitiveness and identify opportunities for cost savings and value enhancement.
- Analysis is spent to enable alternative sourcing approaches, saving achievements and cost avoidance measures to ensure lessons learned are captured to optimize and improve our procurement strategy and future contracts
- Develop and execute sourcing strategies for LNG terminal operations, marine services, fleet maintenance, spare parts, dry‑dock support, and capital projects.
- Lead RFI, RFQ, and RFP processes, including market analysis, bidder evaluations, commercial alignment, and award recommendations.
- Negotiate pricing, commercial terms, and service levels to achieve total cost optimization while maintaining safety, quality, and operational reliability.
- Support long‑term and framework agreements to ensure supply continuity for critical terminal and fleet operations.
- Monitor contract and supplier performance against commercial, operational, and financial KPIs.
- Collaborate with Finance and AP teams to ensure PO‑invoice alignment, issue resolution, and cash‑flow discipline.
