Overview
We are conducting a confidential search for a Global Contracts & Sourcing Manager to join a growing, internationally focused energy organization. This role is a key member of the procurement function and will lead the development, negotiation, and management of complex sourcing and contract initiatives supporting LNG terminal operations, marine services, and fleet-related activities.
The ideal candidate is a strategic procurement professional with deep experience in contract lifecycle management, supplier strategy, and commercial negotiations within energy, LNG, marine, oil & gas, or infrastructure environments.
Position OverviewThe Global Contracts & Sourcing Manager will be responsible for analyzing, developing, negotiating, and managing contracts related to the procurement of goods and services. This role will partner closely with operations, legal, finance, and supply chain leadership to drive procurement excellence, mitigate commercial risk, and support operational reliability across global operations.
Key ResponsibilitiesPartner with cross-functional stakeholders to identify procurement needs and lead contract development and award processes.
Conduct market research and supplier evaluations to identify high-quality, cost-effective sourcing opportunities.
Lead end-to-end contract lifecycle management, including strategy, drafting, negotiation, execution, administration, amendments, renewals, and close-out.
Facilitate supplier negotiations using market intelligence to secure favorable pricing, commercial terms, and service levels.
Support sourcing initiatives across LNG terminal operations, marine services, fleet maintenance, spare parts, dry-dock support, and capital projects.
Lead RFI, RFQ, and RFP processes, including bidder evaluations and award recommendations.
Partner with Legal to manage contract review, redlines, approvals, and compliance with corporate standards and risk frameworks.
Ensure contracts are properly maintained within contract management systems and aligned with governance and audit requirements.
Identify and mitigate commercial and contractual risks, including liabilities, performance obligations, warranties, and termination provisions.
Analyze supplier pricing, cost structures, and market dynamics to drive savings and value optimization.
Monitor supplier and contract performance against commercial, operational, and financial KPIs.
Collaborate with Finance and Accounts Payable to ensure PO and invoice alignment and support cash-flow discipline.
Provide reporting and insights to leadership on sourcing activity, savings initiatives, contract status, and risk exposure.
Build and maintain strong relationships with strategic suppliers and internal stakeholders.
Conduct vendor performance reviews and risk assessments to drive continuous improvement and innovation.
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or related discipline;
Master’s degree preferred.8+ years of progressive experience in contracts management, strategic sourcing, or procurement.
Experience supporting LNG terminals, vessel operations, marine services, oil & gas, or infrastructure environments strongly preferred.
Demonstrated expertise in commercial negotiations, contract development, and risk assessment.
Experience working with international suppliers and multi-jurisdictional agreements.
Proficiency with ERP systems, contract management platforms, and Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, Power BI).
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex procurement data and drive actionable insights.
Ability to partner effectively with sourcing, logistics, finance, and legal teams.
