WHC LLC (A Surerus Murphy Company) (WHC), is seeking an on-site Field Project Controls Analyst to join our team. This field-based role requires a proactive individual to track, report, and manage project data to ensure accurate and timely delivery. The ideal candidate will work directly in the field, collaborating closely with superintendents, field engineers, and project managers, performing daily progress verification, and providing comprehensive data analysis to support project decision-making.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIESField Progress Tracking & Verification
- Perform daily site walk-downs to verify that reported progress aligns with completed work.
- Gather field progress quantities from various sources and collaborate with the Project Manager and other field staff to confirm reporting accuracy.
- Input timesheet hours and field data into the progress tracking system.
- Engage with the project scheduler to align schedule updates with task durations and expected productions.
- Identify any deviations or unfavorable trends and elevate issues through proper channels as needed.
Timesheet & Cost Code Management
- Review and validate timesheets for cost coding accuracy.
- Coordinate discrepancies with the site Superintendent/manager and Office Manager.
- Promote alignment between labor hours, equipment usage, and reported progress.
Data Review, Reporting & Analytics
- Review field crew productivity and equipment utilization to support reporting accuracy.
- Analyze performance factors, unit rates, daily quantity targets, headcounts, and labor and equipment cost expenditures to aid the project team with informed decision-making capabilities.
- Update and distribute daily production reports with key performance metrics to relevant stakeholders.
- Support weekly cost and progress reviews, ensuring alignment with forecasts and budgets.
- Participate in site internal and customer daily/weekly meetings.
- Initiate progress billing report and work with the Project Manager and Project Controls Manager to validate for further internal processing.
- Change Management
- Assist the project manager in verifying additional unit price, time, and materials, and change order scope.
- Review added scope estimates, assist in any delay impact analysis, and provide recommendations for mitigation.
- Know and proactively enforce the contract. Support the project team in understanding and applying contractual rights and obligations, particularly in terms of scope changes, delays, and compensation. Ensure change management procedures are followed and documented in alignment with contract terms.
Equipment, Materials, & Subcontractor Coordination
- Support the purchase order system workflow. Verify cost coding, categorization, and alignment with the project budget.
- Confirm and upload all daily subcontractor tickets and progress reports.
- Review equipment and materials logs and relay to the Project Manager any peculiarities that may impact the forecast.
- Analyze subcontractor progress and productivity and compare performance to the agreed subcontract and overall project construction schedule.
- Support the project manager in updating the internal subcontractor log.
- Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed to support project objectives.
- Coordinate with the Subcontracts group as needed. Act as a liaison between the project team and Subcontracts group to help resolve issues, clarify subcontract scope or terms, and ensure alignment on contract administration and field execution.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or a related field (or equivalent field experience).
