The teacher demonstrates a deep commitment to authentic Montessori practice and works collaboratively within a supportive school community.

• Guide students in a prepared Montessori environment that supports academic, social, and emotional growth.
• Communicate professionally with parents regarding student progress and needs.
• Interact respectfully with each child, honoring their dignity and individuality.
• Collaborate with the assistant teacher and faculty to support lesson planning, classroom management, and student development.
• Build positive, cooperative relationships with families and encourage their involvement.
• Attend faculty meetings and professional development days.
• Maintain confidentiality and support students during daily transitions, including arrival, dismissal, lunch, and recess.

• Respects and genuinely enjoys working with children
• Believes in student‑centered, developmentally appropriate learning
• Creates a calm, engaging, and well‑prepared classroom
• Uses kind, consistent classroom management
• Values collaboration, reflection, and professional growth
• Is organized, flexible, and dependable

• AMI Elementary (6–12) or AMS Montessori Elementary II (9–12) certification; other MACTE‑accredited trainings considered
• Bachelor’s degree required
• Upper Elementary teaching experience strongly preferred
• Texas teaching license encouraged
