The Role
As the Director of Global Process Safety, reporting to the Sr. Director – EHSQ, you will develop and ensure the implementation of corporate‑level strategies, programs, and procedures to implement Risk‑Based Process Safety (RBPS). You will also provide continuous improvement toward world‑class EHS performance and integrate RBPS principles and activities within the overall business process.
How You Will Make An Impact- Facilitate global network of process safety SME’s
- Facilitate functional safety steering team (FSST)
- Support operations with a focus on identifying process safety related hazards, compliance obligations and assessing risks
- Lead and direct the development and implementation of process safety, chemical facility standards and management systems ensuring the foundation for regulatory compliance, risk management, competency development, program consistency and continual performance improvement
- Provide PS leadership and technical support to capital projects, existing and R&D operations and incident investigations
- Be accountable for the establishment of key process safety related performance indicators and metrics and standardize & coordinate regular reporting of these metrics
- Oversee and support response to EHS and process safety related recommendations from risk management / insurance carrier audits and inspections, integrating corrective actions within corporate and site business processes and management systems where appropriate
- Assist in and/or conduct RBPS assessments of SI Group facilities, acquisition candidates, and toll manufacturers
- BS Degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering
- Minimum of 5 years process safety management experience in the petrochemical industry, global experience preferred
- Experience with PHA/LOPA, Regulatory & Standards, Risk Management & Incident Investigations and/or Management Systems (Benchmark/Gensuite etc.)
- Strong analytical, strategic, organizational, reporting, presentation, and communication skills

- The salary range for this position is $185,000 - $215,000. The specific salary offered will be determined by a variety of factors including location, experience, and education.
