Job Summary

CMTA is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to be a leader in our office in The Woodlands, TX. This position will provide mechanical services that meet and exceed a client’s expectations. You will provide expert advice, make key decisions, and develop highly complex elements regarding mechanical design and project development. In this role, you will also lead and mentor a team of engineers, providing technical direction, support, and leadership to drive both team and business success.

This position is responsible for growing and developing the mechanical department and continuing to build successful client relations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Project Management
    • Positively motivate and review work performed by a team of mechanical engineers.
    • Professionally work with clients to identify goals.
    • Correctly complete billing and budgeting for a project.
    • Coordinate services between the mechanical engineering team, clients, and other contractors.
    • Provide descriptive solutions to mechanical design difficulties.
    • Manage a team of engineers and designers; conduct periodic reviews and foster a collaborative atmosphere.
    • Facilitate weekly team meetings and effectively delegate workload to team members.
  • Business Development
    • Frequent professional interaction with clients to discover and implement expectations.
    • Maintain positive relationships with clients.
    • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications (Education, Experience, and Licenses/Certifications required)
  • Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering.
  • P.E. Licensed Mechanical Engineer.
  • 10+ years of industry experience.
  • Proven ability to maintain a high level of professionalism and organization.
  • Established industry and market expertise.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proven ability to work independently and be a strong decision maker.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products.
  • Proven ability to maintain excellent integrity and ethical standards within the role.
  • Ability to work outside normal business hours as project schedules and deadlines require.
  • No sponsorship available for this position.
