Analytical X-ray Systems Specialist, Semi

Position Overview

Rigaku Americas Corporation is hiring an Analytical X‑ray Service Specialist in the RSMD Department. The role involves installation, maintenance and repair of Analytical X‑ray equipment and related devices, with frequent travel across the United States, and possible international travel to Rigaku’s factories.

• Serve customers in the Albany, New York area and throughout the U.S. to service and maintain Analytical X‑ray equipment and related devices.
• Troubleshoot and repair electronic and mechanical problems of X‑ray equipment.
• Install and modify system software for equipment applications.
• Provide customer phone assistance for preliminary troubleshooting and diagnostics.
• Conduct customer training on alignment and use of Analytical Systems.
• Complete installations of X‑ray generators, optics, detection devices and perform related maintenance and repair.
• Submit weekly service reports to the Service Manager and record work in Rigaku service database.
• Maintain and update customer profiles in accordance with equipment changes.
• Prepare and submit weekly expense reports.
• Work in a clean‑room environment as required.
• Travel internationally to Rigaku’s factories in Japan and other locations for training and service.

• Associate degree in Electronics Engineering or equivalent training.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Valid passport.
• Previous service experience preferred.
• Ability to obtain security clearance for customer and governmental facilities.
• Knowledge of thin‑film and metrology a plus.
