Senior Project Manager – Woodlands, Texas
For the last six decades, Garver's Aviation Team has been designing projects for more than 250 aviation clients. Our experienced design staff are skilled at navigating the complexities of airport systems—runways, roadways, facilities, and electricals—that must work in tandem to support daily travel and transport needs.
Garver’s growing Texas Aviation team is seeking a Project Manager to join our multidisciplinary team. The Project Manager will provide design, planning, funding, and client‑management services for commercial and general air‑service airports in Texas. The role offers the opportunity to manage the design and construction of complex, large, multi‑year projects, supported by Garver's diverse, multi‑disciplined local and national staff.
Duties and responsibilities- Project management of aviation design projects related to new pavement construction, drainage improvements, utility relocation, sustainable design, and pavement rehabilitation projects.
- Construction administration and oversight for aviation clients.
- Collaborating and/or coordinating design teams consisting of multi‑discipline design engineers, planners, and technicians.
- Coordination with clients, stakeholders, and funding agencies.
- Providing outstanding client service.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an ABET‑accredited program.
- Licensed Professional Engineer.
- 6–10 years of experience in civil engineering with aviation project experience.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Working knowledge of design software packages such as AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
- Some travel may be required (approximately 10% with occasional overnight).
- Project management of construction values up to +$2M.
- Previous experience working with a multi‑disciplined team while overseeing project execution.
- Experience in managing construction projects at airports.
- Licensed pilot or other aviation‑related experience.
