Responsibilities
  • Develop, evaluate, and optimize produced water treatment, recycling, desalination, and industrial water treatment processes to improve performance, reliability, and cost efficiency.
  • Perform process calculations, heat and mass balances, hydraulic analyses, process simulations, and equipment sizing to support project development and execution.
  • Develop process design criteria, design basis documents, process narratives, treatment philosophies, PFDs, P&IDs, and standard operating procedures.
  • Review and validate process designs, calculations, and engineering deliverables prepared by EPC contractors, OEMs, and technology licensors.
  • Support projects through all phases, including feasibility studies, pilot testing, detailed design, commissioning, startup, troubleshooting, and performance optimization.
  • Collaborate with engineering, operations, automation, and project teams to ensure process requirements are effectively incorporated into facility and equipment designs.
  • Participate in HAZOPs, process hazard analyses, design reviews, constructability reviews, and value engineering efforts to support safe and reliable operations.
  • Evaluate emerging treatment technologies and process improvements for produced water reuse, beneficial reuse, desalination, and industrial water treatment applications.
  • Provide technical support during project execution, including design reviews, process troubleshooting, startup support, and evaluation of proposed design changes.
  • Serve as the process engineering focal point for EPC contractors, equipment suppliers, technology providers, operations personnel, and other project stakeholders.
  • Utilize process modeling and engineering software to develop, evaluate, and optimize treatment processes and plant performance.
  • Support the integration of instrumentation, controls, sensors, SCADA systems, and automation strategies to improve process monitoring and operational efficiency.
  • Apply process optimization, continuous improvement, statistical analysis, and problem‑solving methodologies to enhance plant performance and reliability.
  • Develop, track, analyze, and communicate process performance metrics and KPIs to support operational and business objectives.
  • Maintain and present process performance, operational, and project data in a clear and effective manner to support decision‑making.
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of produced water treatment, recycling, desalination technologies, DAF systems, and general oil and gas water management and flowback operations.
  • Independently manage multiple assignments and concurrently support projects across multiple facilities and geographic locations.
Requirements
  • EDUCATION: Bachelor of Science in Engineering or related field
  • EXPERIENCE: 10+ years of relevant experience in Facility design, Water Treatment/recycling experience
  • LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS:
    • Valid Driver’s License
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office
    • Proficient in Adobe Acrobat Pro
    • Experience in process optimization
  • TRAVEL: 50%
  • OTHER:
    • Submit to and satisfactorily complete pre‑employment background, medical, alcohol, and drug screening
    • Must possess a valid Driver’s License
