** Summary
* * The Engineering Manager, Gas Compression is responsible for leading the compression engineering team in the design, optimization, commissioning, and lifecycle support of natural gas compression equipment and related facilities. This role provides technical leadership for engineering projects, fleet initiatives, facility design, aftermarket support, and continuous improvement efforts. The Engineering Manager collaborates closely with Operations, Project Management, Fleet Management, Sales, Manufacturing, and customers to deliver safe, reliable, and cost-effective compression solutions that meet business objectives.

Duties & Responsibilities
*** Lead and supervise a team of engineers and designers supporting gas compression packages, facilities, and aftermarket services.
* Ensure the integration of safety, reliability, operability, constructability, and maintainability principles into all engineering designs and processes.
* Manage engineering resources and priorities to support company objectives, customer requirements, and project schedules.
* Review and approve engineering deliverables, drawings, calculations, specifications, and technical documentation.
* Provide technical leadership and guidance on compressor package design, engine and compressor performance, process systems, and facility integration.
* Oversee equipment sizing and selection, including compressors, engines, coolers, vessels, piping systems, valves, and associated balance-of-plant equipment.
* Support fleet optimization initiatives through performance analysis, reliability improvements, emissions reduction projects, and equipment upgrades.
* Ensure compliance with applicable industry regulations, company standards, engineering practices, and customer specifications.
* Partner with Project Managers and Operations teams to support project execution, commissioning, troubleshooting, and startup activities.
* Collaborate with Fleet Management and Aftermarket Services to resolve complex technical issues and improve equipment reliability.
* Develop engineering scopes of work, schedules, cost estimates, and resource plans for assigned projects.
* Manage relationships with vendors, suppliers, contractors, and engineering consultants.
* Drive continuous improvement initiatives related to engineering processes, design standards, and operational efficiency.
* Support emissions compliance initiatives and implementation of technologies that reduce environmental impact and support ESG goals.
* Assist in developing and maintaining engineering standards, procedures, specifications, and best practices.
* Recruit, develop, mentor, and retain engineering personnel while fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous learning.
* Conduct performance evaluations, establish development plans, and support career growth within the engineering team.
* Participate in customer meetings and provide technical support for business development opportunities as needed.
** Education & Certifications
*** Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Petroleum Engineering, or a related engineering discipline required.
* Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred but not required.
** Work Experience
*** 7–12 years of experience in natural gas compression, midstream operations, oil and gas facilities, or related industries.
* Minimum of 3 years of engineering leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
* Demonstrated experience in gas compression package design, facility engineering, and equipment performance optimization.
