CAD Designer

CAD Designer – The Woodlands, TX

We are looking for a CAD Designer to join our growing distribution team located in The Woodlands, Texas to provide design on various utility projects.

• Preparation of construction plans using a combination of Micro Station and AutoCAD
• Ability to perform assignments designed to develop professional work knowledge and abilities
• Conduct or coordinate detailed phases of technical work
• Coordinate with other drafters, technicians, and engineers to assist in assignments
• Basic understanding of ordinance and laws governing distribution engineering
• Problem solves to complete project tasks or designs
• Prepare and coordinate permitting with Municipalities, Cities, Counties, State and Federal agencies.

• Associate degree in Computer Aided Design or equivalent experience
• Demonstrated experience in Micro Station or AutoCAD
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Ability to work well in a team environment within the office and with different disciplines
• Can work independently and request guidance
• Meet deadlines and handle multiple projects simultaneously
• Responsive to requests. Maintain company confidentiality
• Flexibility in process and procedures
• Effectively manage multiple projects concurrently
• Effectively communicate and share information between company employees
• Provide CAD support for assigned projects
• Research, acquire, record, and verify easement information
• Interpret survey data, plan, deed information, and engineered construction drawings

• Salary Range: 50-60K
