Mott Mac Donald is seeking a Senior Project Engineer to provide technical leadership for civil and structural engineering services supporting transmission, substation, grid modernization, renewable integration for energy infrastructure projects.

This role will serve as a senior technical leader within our Energy practice, supporting project delivery, mentoring developing engineers, strengthening client relationships, and helping grow Mott Mac Donald’s civil and structural engineering capability across Texas and the Southwest.

The successful candidate will combine deep technical expertise with strong project delivery and client-facing capabilities. They will be recognized as a trusted advisor to clients and a subject matter expert capable of leading teams through the execution of complex utility infrastructure projects.

As a Senior Project Engineer, you will provide the technical foundation for utility infrastructure projects that improve the grid. You will lead complex engineering assignments, mentor technical staff, support strategic pursuits, and help position Mott Mac Donald as a trusted engineering advisor to utilities, municipalities, cooperatives, renewable developers, and industrial energy clients.

• Serve as a senior technical leader for civil and structural engineering activities supporting transmission, substation, and utility infrastructure programs.
• Act as Engineer of Record, technical reviewer, or discipline lead for major projects
• Establish engineering approaches, design criteria, technical standards, and best practices.
• Support innovation and continuous improvement initiatives across the Energy team.

• Lead structural and civil work packages
• Develop engineering scopes, budgets, schedules, estimates, and resource plans
• Monitor technical quality, scope adherence, and project performance
• Ensure deliverables are quality, on time, and in accordance to client and company requirements
