Overview

LGI Homes is seeking a Financial Reporting Manager at our Corporate Headquarters in The Woodlands, Texas.

The Financial Reporting Manager will lead accurate, timely, and compliant financial reporting for our public company. You will prepare GAAP financial statements, support SEC filings (10-K, 10-Q, 8-K), and participate in month-end and quarter-end close.

This role includes tax accounting responsibilities, including provision calculations, deferred taxes, and coordination with external advisors. The Financial Reporting Manager will also partner with external auditors and an external tax firm, and communicate with all levels within the company.

Responsibilities
  • Lead accurate, timely, and compliant financial reporting for the public company.
  • Prepare GAAP financial statements and support SEC filings (10-K, 10-Q, 8-K).
  • Participate in month-end and quarter-end close processes.
  • Manage tax accounting responsibilities, including provision calculations and deferred taxes, coordinating with external advisors.
  • Partner with external auditors and an external tax firm.
  • Communicate with all levels within the company to ensure alignment on reporting matters.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
  • CPA is also preferred.
  • Five to eight years of public company financial reporting experience, including SEC filings.
  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP, SEC rules, SOX compliance, and tax accounting.
  • Experience with ERP/reporting systems, including Workiva.
