Senior Tax Associate

Taltran Global has been exclusively retained by a well-capitalized, privately held manufacturing company seeking a Senior Tax Associate to join its growing tax function. The organization is a long-standing producer of steel-based products used in construction and industrial applications, operating multiple manufacturing facilities across the United States and serving a diverse national customer base. The business has experienced consistent growth since inception and continues to invest in building a sophisticated, scalable corporate infrastructure to support its long-term trajectory.

The Senior Tax Associate will serve as a key in-house resource supporting U.S. individual and personal tax matters, working directly under and being mentored by the VP of Tax. This role is well-suited for a tax professional who enjoys hands‑on compliance work, strong attention to detail, and close collaboration with external advisors, while also seeking broader exposure beyond traditional busy season responsibilities.

The position offers meaningful visibility, mentorship, and the opportunity to grow into more complex tax projects over time within a lean, high‑impact team environment.

• Serve as a primary in‑house point of support for U.S. individual and personal income tax matters, reporting directly to the VP of Tax
• Coordinate closely with external CPA firms and tax preparers by gathering, organizing, and validating information required for federal and state individual filings
• Review individual tax returns and supporting schedules, identifying errors, inconsistencies, and follow‑up items prior to final submission
• Track and manage documentation, deliverables, and deadlines to ensure timely and accurate filings
• Assist with quality control efforts to improve the accuracy, consistency, and documentation of tax processes
• Support tax planning initiatives and special projects throughout the year, extending beyond traditional busy season work
• Gain exposure to corporate tax matters over time, as business needs and individual development progress
• Contribute to process improvements within the tax function, with the long‑term potential to support partial in‑house preparation of individual returns

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required
• Minimum 1‑2 years of experience in public accounting or a corporate tax environment, ideally with a focus on individual tax compliance
• Strong understanding of U.S. individual federal and state income tax reporting
• Experience coordinating with or reviewing work prepared by external CPA firms
• Highly detail‑oriented with strong organizational and documentation skills
• Ability to manage multiple work streams and deadlines in a lean, collaborative environment
• Interest in long‑term professional development and expanding exposure into broader tax areas
• Strong communication skills and comfort working closely with senior tax leadership and external advisors
