COMPANY DESCRIPTIONArena Energy is an exploration and production company focused in the Gulf of America ("GOA"). Arena has achieved 20+ years of reserve growth through drilling investments of ~$5 billion in the GOA. Shelf and is the most active driller in the GOA. Arena has a history of acquiring properties from majors and creating value through further identification and development.
Arena has been consistently active in recent years, closing on multiple asset acquisitions and creating an affiliated midstream company, an offshore drilling company, and an offshore abandonment services company.
This position represents a unique opportunity to gain exposure across multiple energy verticals.
JOB DESCRIPTIONThe candidate will work closely with all members of the finance department, along with reservoir engineers and the accounting department. Responsibilities will include:
- Providing modeling and analysis for the company, including budgeting and long-term planning
- Assisting in the analysis of acquisitions including development of pro-forma financials
- Assisting in risk management programs and providing hedging recommendations / analyses
- Developing key metrics for capital efficiency, reserve growth, etc.
- Assisting in the development of presentation materials for management, BOD meetings, etc.
- Executing competitive analysis and supporting corporate strategy
- Strong academic background (Bachelor’s degree minimum) in a numerate field (i.e. finance, business, economics, engineering, accounting, or other similar)
- 1-3 years experience
- Must have Investment banking experience
- High work ethic and ability to work well on a team
