We're partnering with a well-established private investment firm focused on infrastructure and energy assets across North America and Europe. This group takes an active, operational approach to investing and continues to expand its portfolio through acquisitions and strategic growth initiatives.
Due to continued expansion, the firm is adding an Accounting Manager to support its growing investment portfolio.
This is a highly visible role working closely with senior leadership, investment professionals, and operating companies within the portfolio.
The Accounting Manager will play a key role supporting accounting operations and financial reporting across multiple portfolio entities. The position blends technical accounting, operational finance, treasury exposure, and interaction with internal and external stakeholders.
You’ll work closely with the Accounting Director while partnering with asset management teams and portfolio company leadership.
Core Responsibilities- Lead and review monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes across portfolio entities
- Prepare and analyze financial statements and supporting schedules
- Review reconciliations, accruals, and intercompany activity
- Assist with consolidated financial reporting and elimination entries
- Analyze operating results and prepare management reporting packages
- Research accounting matters and support GAAP compliance initiatives
- Assist with implementation of new accounting guidance
- Maintain and enhance internal control processes
- Support cash forecasting and funding requirements
- Review payment activity including wires and ACH transactions
- Monitor liquidity and compliance reporting for lenders
- Coordinate lender reporting, covenant compliance, and funding requests
- Assist with audit preparation and annual financial statement processes
- Partner with external auditors, tax advisors, and valuation specialists
- Coordinate annual budgeting activities across portfolio companies
- Review operating budgets with internal stakeholders
- Support accounting integration for newly acquired entities
- Provide guidance and training to accounting teams within operating companies
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
- 6+ years of accounting experience (public accounting experience preferred)
- CPA strongly preferred
- Experience with financial reporting and close processes
- Strong Excel skills and overall systems proficiency
- Quick Books exposure is a plus
- Ability to operate independently in a fast-moving environment
- Strong communication skills with both finance and operational teams
