Role Summary
Our client, a newly renovated outpatient breast imaging center within a large healthcare organization, is seeking an experienced Mammography Technologist to join their team in a full‑time capacity. This role is ideal for a seasoned mammography professional with strong technical expertise, a commitment to quality and patient safety, and experience working in a high‑volume clinical environment.
Key Responsibilities- Perform mammography imaging exams in compliance with radiation safety standards.
- Prepare patients for procedures, explain exams, and position patients appropriately.
- Select proper imaging techniques to ensure high‑quality diagnostic images.
- Enter, review, and monitor patient data accurately in imaging systems.
- Perform routine quality assurance testing on mammography equipment.
- Assist with accreditation processes (e.g., ACR) and regulatory readiness activities.
- Identify and report equipment malfunctions, safety incidents, or patient concerns.
- Participate in departmental on‑call coverage as required.
- Maintain compliance with organizational policies, procedures, and quality standards.
- Support professional development through continuing education and competency programs.
- Serve as a mentor or preceptor to less experienced staff when appropriate.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
- Graduate of an approved Mammography Technology program.
- Current or temporary Texas Medical Radiologic Technologist (MRT) license.
- Registered Radiologic Technologist (ARRT‑R).
- Registered Mammography Technologist (ARRT‑M).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) or Advanced Life Support (ALS) certification.
- Minimum of four (4) years of prior experience as a Mammography Technologist.
- Ability to lift and assist patients safely during imaging procedures.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to diagnostic image quality.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a patient‑centered clinical environment.
- Experience with patient scheduling and workflow coordination.
- Experience supporting quality audits and regulatory or accreditation reviews (e.g., Joint Commission).
- Prior outpatient breast imaging experience.
