Occupational Therapist – Outpatient (Pediatrics Preferred)

Location: The Woodlands, Texas
Setting: Outpatient Rehabilitation Clinic
Schedule: Flexible scheduling with 10 or 12-hour shifts
, Monday–Friday (based on coverage needs)
Work Type: Onsite with remote access available for documentation completion

Position Summary

We are seeking a licensed Occupational Therapist (OT) to support our outpatient rehabilitation clinic in The Woodlands, Texas
. This role will primarily assist with coverage for multiple FML leave periods
, and scheduling flexibility is available to accommodate clinic needs.

The Occupational Therapist will evaluate and treat patients using evidence-based occupational therapy interventions to improve functional independence, mobility, and quality of life.
Pediatric outpatient experience is strongly preferred
, though therapists with relevant clinical backgrounds will also be considered.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate, assess, and develop individualized treatment plans for patients
  • Provide occupational therapy interventions to improve functional performance and daily living skills
  • Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and interdisciplinary care teams
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
  • Educate patients and families on therapeutic activities and home exercise programs
  • Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
  • Ensure compliance with clinic policies, professional standards, and regulatory guidelines
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
  • Active Occupational Therapist license in the state of Texas
  • One of the following:
    • Minimum 2 years of clinical experience in pediatrics, women's health, orthopedics, or sports medicine
      , OR
    • Completion of a 1-year residency in pediatrics, women's health, orthopedics, or sports medicine
Preferred Qualifications
  • Pediatric outpatient experience
  • Experience working in a multidisciplinary outpatient rehabilitation setting
  • Strong communication and patient-education skills
  • Ability to manage caseload efficiently while maintaining quality care
Additional Information
  • Position requires onsite patient care
  • Remote access may be used for documentation completion when needed
  • Schedule flexibility available due to coverage needs during FML leave periods
