Due to continued success and investment on a global scale, we’re now looking to add a Payroll & Benefits Lead to a well-established, high performing HR Team.

This is a newly created position; where you will be assisting the organization in building a stronger platform to grow from, with ample opportunity for continued progression and development.

We’re seeking a best-in-class Payroll & Benefits Lead to support the growth of the HR department and facilitate the human resource processes at all business locations. This role is focused on leading the payroll and benefits processes but will also support other functions of a growing and high pace department.

As the Payroll & Benefits Lead, you will oversee our multi-state payroll and employee benefits programs, while also contributing to broader HR operations, analytics, and strategic initiatives. This role is critical in ensuring compliance, accuracy, and a best-in-class employee experience. You will have a strong background in payroll processing, benefits administration, and 401(k) plan compliance, and will serve as a go-to resource for employees across the organization.

This is a dynamic position for a hands-on professional who is passionate about HR, eager to grow, and ready to take on responsibilities that impact the organization across various levels.

• Lead end-to-end payroll processing across multiple states, ensuring accuracy and legal compliance (federal, state, local)
• Reconcile payroll data and validate reports pre- and post-processing
• Manage all employee benefit programs (health, dental, vision, life, disability, voluntary benefits)
• Coordinate open enrolment periods and lead communication efforts for employee education
• Handle benefit events (new hires, terminations, life changes), billing reconciliation, and vendor liaison
• Oversee and administer 401(k) plans: enrolments, contributions, compliance testing, and filings (e.g., Form 5500)
• Serve as the first point of contact for payroll and benefit-related inquiries

• Partner with HR, Finance, and external vendors to ensure clean, compliant processes
• Support employee onboarding and offboarding from a payroll and benefits standpoint
• Assist with audits, internal controls, and process improvements across HR operations
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of employment laws and benefits compliance (e.g., ERISA, DOL, ACA)
• Contribute to broader HR initiatives such as performance management, policy updates, and employee engagement
• Take on special projects related to HR reporting, data analytics, and workforce insights, helping to inform business decisions and improve employee experience

• Bachelor’s degree, in human resources preferred
• Progressive experience in payroll and benefits, including multi-state payroll administration
• Deep knowledge of 401(k) plan administration, retirement compliance, and employee education
• Proficient in payroll/HRIS systems (ADP preferred) and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel
• Strong understanding of payroll tax, labor regulations, and benefits-related laws
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and committed to confidentiality and data integrity
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills
• Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) or similar credential is a plus
