The Lending Services Data & AI Solutions Architect plays a pivotal role in transforming lending operations through data‑driven insights, intelligent automation, and scalable architecture. This hybrid role combines expertise in data engineering, business intelligence, and artificial intelligence to support strategic decision‑making, regulatory compliance, and operational efficiency across the lending lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and maintain secure, scalable data infrastructure to support lending workflows, including loan origination, underwriting, servicing, and portfolio management
  • Develop ETL/ELT pipelines to integrate data from core banking systems and third‑party platforms
  • Ensure data accuracy, lineage, and governance in alignment with SOC 1 Type II and other compliance standards
  • Collaborate with Lending Services, Commercial, and Credit leadership to define data models that support credit risk analysis, performance tracking, and regulatory reporting
  • Build and manage Power BI dashboards that provide real‑time visibility into loan performance, pipeline activity, and operational KPIs
Competencies Required
  • Ability to work with credit executives, lending team members, analysts, and IT teams to align technical solutions with business goals
  • Competence in managing timelines, resources, and deliverables across data and AI initiatives
  • Clear articulation of technical concepts to non‑technical stakeholders and leadership
  • Familiarity with core lending platforms and data structures used in commercial banking
  • Understanding of credit performance metrics and regulatory reporting requirements

Minimum Qualifications / Experience
  • 5+ years of experience in data architecture, BI development, and AI engineering. Within financial services preferred.
  • Proficiency in SQL, DAX, Python, Power Query, and Azure cloud services
  • Experience with Power BI administration, including Premium Capacity Metrics and embedded analytics
  • Familiarity with various lending platforms and core banking systems
Formal Education & Certification
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Finance, or related field.
