The Cybersecurity Solution Architect works closely with experienced cybersecurity and IT professionals to implement security architecture design principles within Entergy’s cybersecurity towers. This role designs and implements cybersecurity solutions, reviews and documents security requirements, design decisions, risks, and mitigations for each system and application within the towers.

• Focus on cybersecurity, application security, cloud technologies, and network management with 1‑3 years of relevant experience.
• Assist in managing system security and ensuring compliance with industry best practices.
• Collaborate with members of Cybersecurity towers and the Enterprise Cybersecurity Architecture team to integrate security seamlessly into projects and processes, protecting information systems.
• Design specific solutions within the overarching Cybersecurity strategy for a given tower, bridging the gap between business needs and technology solutions.
• Apply strong problem‑solving skills and a collaborative approach to cybersecurity challenges.
• Liaise between Enterprise Cybersecurity Architects, vendors, project management, and the technical team on questions, issues, and revisions to the solution architecture.
• Create procedures and work instructions.
• Provide and document all requirements for projects within the team’s tower.
• Provide operational support to the teams within the team’s tower.
• Partner with business SMEs to capture, analyze, translate, and document business requirements into operational work products (e.g., use cases, functional specs) for the cybersecurity tower & development teams.
• Develop and maintain traceability of functional and non‑functional specifications to business requirements, objectives, and processes.
• Ensure work products are comprehensive for transition to development teams for detailed design and to the Quality Assurance team for test script creation.

• Education:
  
  Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience; advanced degree preferred.
• Experience:
  
  3‑5 years of experience working with cybersecurity technology and its business support.
• Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
  • Deep understanding and practical experience of industry‑recognized cybersecurity solutions.
  • Wide experience in developing customer‑centric solutions.
  • Working knowledge of identity & access management, Sec Ops, network security, and security engineering.
  • Planning experience, especially designing longer‑term strategies.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, interpersonal, writing, and presentation skills at all organizational levels.
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity architecture concepts and the ability to integrate business needs with security technology.

Employees may be required to work additional hours, in alternate locations, or perform additional duties during storms, outages, emergencies, or other situations as deemed necessary by the company. Exempt employees may not receive overtime pay for such duties.
