AboutThe Role
Othram is seeking a hands‑on IT Systems & Network Administrator to manage employee technology, network infrastructure, security systems, and day‑to‑day IT support. This is an on‑site, five‑days‑a‑week‑in‑the‑office position. Othram is a Google Workspace and Apple Mac environment. Strong experience administering Google Workspace and Mosyle is required. This position will also support technology within an accredited forensic laboratory, requiring an understanding (or willingness to learn) the ins and outs of supporting laboratory operations, specialized workstations, instruments, security requirements, and the importance of minimizing disruptions to casework.

- Administer Othram’s Ubiquiti/Uni Fi network environment, including switches, wireless access points, firewalls, VLANs, VPNs, and network segmentation utilizing IPv4 and IPv6 protocols.
- Manage Apple devices using Mosyle and Apple Business Manager.
- Maintain network diagrams, equipment inventories, system documentation, and IT procedures.
- Manage the lifecycle of company technology, including purchasing, deployment, assignment, repair, replacement, and secure disposal.
- Support laboratory workstations, instrument connectivity, conference rooms, printers, security systems, and other onsite technology.
- Coordinate infrastructure maintenance and changes with Laboratory Operations, Engineering, Development, Facilities, and external vendors.
- Manage IT vendors, software licenses, subscriptions, contracts, and renewals.
- Administer Google Workspace security, user access, groups, administrative roles, multifactor authentication, and account controls.
- Maintain secure Mac configurations through Mosyle, including device compliance, encryption, patching, and software deployment.
- Support endpoint security tools and respond to account, device, phishing, and network security alerts.
- Conduct periodic reviews of user access, administrative privileges, devices, and software.
- Administer physical security technology, including employee keycards, building access, and security cameras.
- Follow laboratory requirements related to access control, confidentiality, data integrity, documentation, and controlled system changes.
- Partner with Engineering and Development when security issues involve cloud or application infrastructure.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for employee IT support and troubleshooting.
- Provide in-person and remote support for Macs, Google Workspace, software, peripherals, connectivity, and workplace technology.
- Own IT employee lifecycle management for new hires, role changes, transfers, and terminations.
- Create, modify, and disable employee accounts, permissions, equipment assignments, and physical access.
- Prepare and deploy properly configured Macs and equipment before each employee’s start date.
- Recover equipment and securely transfer or delegate Google Drive and email data during offboarding.
- Manage IT support requests, identify recurring issues, and implement lasting solutions.
- Create and maintain knowledge base articles, standard operating procedures, and employee instructions.
Experience:
- 3+ years of experience in IT support, systems administration, network administration, or a similar hands‑on role.
- Google Workspace admin experience.
- Administering MDM, Apple Business Manager, and enterprise Mac deployment
- Experience managing Ubiquiti/Uni Fi networks.
