* POSITION SUMMARY:

** The Purchasing Specialist is responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and procuring goods and services to meet the organization’s operational needs. This role ensures timely delivery, cost efficiency, and compliance with company policies and industry standards.

* ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

** Procurement Management:
*** Source and evaluate suppliers to ensure quality, reliability, and competitive pricing.
* Prepare and process purchase orders and requisitions.
* Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with internal teams to maintain optimal stock.
** Vendor Relations:
*** Develop and maintain strong relationships with vendors and suppliers.
* Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing agreements.
* Resolve issues related to delivery, quality, or invoicing.
** Compliance & Reporting:
*** Ensure adherence to company purchasing policies and regulatory requirements.
* Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and other data.
* Generate reports on purchasing activities, cost savings, and supplier performance.
** Continuous Improvement:
*** Identify opportunities for cost reduction and process optimization.
* Stay updated on market trends and new product offerings.
* Perform other related duties as assigned to assist with successful platform operation, development, and business continuity.## Qualifications
** POSITION REQUIREMENTS
*** Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for sponsorship.
* Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
* Successfully passes all applicable general pre-employment testing including but not limited to: background check, pre-employment drug screening, pre-employment fit tests, pre-employment aptitude and/or competency assessment(s).
* Daily in person, predictable attendance in The Woodlands, TX.
* Valid U.S. Driver’s License required. Most employment is contingent upon meeting company driving standards, including 3 year U.S. driving history and an acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) in accordance with Company policy.
** EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE LEVEL
*** U.S. High School Diploma or GED required*.
** Bachelor’s degree in business administration, supply chain management, or related field (preferred).
* 2+ years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain roles.
* ISM/ASM or similar credentials preferred.
** QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, COMPETENCIES, AND ABILITIES
*** Strong negotiation and communication skills.
* Analytical mindset with attention to detail.
* Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
* Familiarity with ERP systems and procurement software.
* Oracle experience preferred.
