General Tank Containers is a growing international logistics company specializing in ISO tank container transportation for the chemical and gas industry. We work with manufacturers, shipping lines, trucking companies, customs brokers, and logistics partners to ensure the safe and efficient movement of products across global supply chains.
We are seeking a Customer Service Representative to serve as a key point of contact for customers, supporting daily logistics operations and ensuring a high level of service throughout the shipment lifecycle.
Responsibilities- Serve as the primary contact for customers regarding shipment status, documentation, and service requests
- Coordinate with customers, carriers, overseas partners, and internal teams to support transportation activities
- Monitor shipments and provide timely updates to customers
- Prepare and maintain shipping documentation, invoices, and operational records
- Resolve customer questions, service issues, and shipment-related concerns in a professional and timely manner
- Support order processing, booking coordination, and logistics operations
- Maintain accurate records and ensure customer information is up to date
- Build strong customer relationships through responsive communication and problem solving
- Collaborate closely with Operations, Sales, and Finance teams to deliver an exceptional customer experience
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred
- Experience in customer service, logistics, freight forwarding, transportation, supply chain, or a related field
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Customer-focused mindset with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and general business software
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment
- Experience in freight forwarding, international logistics, import/export operations, or transportation
- Familiarity with shipping documentation and customer account support
- Experience working directly with customers in a service-oriented environment
