Weaver is looking for a Commercial Tax Manager or Senior Manager with extensive partnership experience to join our growing firm. A Commercial Tax Manager or Senior Manager provides federal tax compliance and planning services to large middle market and public companies. This role works closely with firm leadership and plays a key role in business development and firm administration activities.
Responsibilities and Qualifications- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
- CPA with 5+ years of experience in federal tax compliance, planning and consulting at a public accounting firm
- Understanding of partnership and partner tax allocations
- Possess technical knowledge sufficient to sell and execute engagements in a wide variety of industries, with a heavy focus in Manufacturing and Distribution, Technology, and/or Construction
- Master’s degree in Accounting or related field
- Proven ability to manage, mentor and develop staff
- Strong relationship management and practice development skills
- Ability to attract and service new clients and expand services to existing clients
At Weaver, our most valuable resource is our people. A reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this position is $125,000 to $290,000 in the California, Denver, Maryland, New Jersey and New York Metropolitan areas. Actual compensation will be based on experience, skills, certifications, and geographical location. Weaver offers competitive health benefits (medical, dental, vision, disability, life insurance) and a 401(k) plan, as well as flexible scheduled time off (STO), minimum of 56 hours of sick and safe leave, 11 holidays, and 2 scheduled recharge days.
We also offer in-house CPE and learning opportunities through our internal Learning & Development department. Our learning program encompasses technical improvement, practice development, management/leadership training, and whole-life growth, with the goal of balancing high development with high performance to meet long-term goals of individuals, teams, and the firm.
