Overview: Big Mike’s BBQ Smokehouse is looking for a confident, hospitality-driven Service Manager to lead the front-of-house team and deliver an outstanding guest experience. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who thrives on coaching people, setting service standards, and being present on the floor during peak business. You’ll work closely with the General Manager and Culinary Manager to build a strong service culture, develop future leaders, and ensure every guest leaves happy and well cared for.

- Lead & Develop the Team: Recruit, hire, train, and develop front-of-house team members; coach performance through ongoing feedback and accountability; conduct performance evaluations and corrective action when needed; build a positive, respectful, and high-energy service culture; lead by example on professionalism, attitude, and hospitality.
- Deliver an Exceptional Guest
Experience:
Set and uphold service standards at every guest touchpoint; actively manage the dining room during service; resolve guest concerns quickly and professionally; ensure service is fast, accurate, and friendly; create an environment where guests feel welcomed and valued. - Execute Strong Operations: Ensure all service systems, procedures, and training are followed; manage table turns, wait times, and overall service flow; coordinate front-of-house staffing and shift execution; support service recovery and peak-period performance.
- Manage Labor & Controls: Schedule labor to align with forecasted sales; monitor labor performance and make real-time adjustments; ensure proper cash handling and POS procedures; support cost control and operational efficiency initiatives.
- Train & Grow Future Leaders: Lead pre-shift meetings and ongoing service training; coach hospitality behaviors, sales skills, and teamwork; identify and develop future front-of-house leaders.
- Maintain Safety & Compliance: Ensure compliance with alcohol service, safety, and labor laws; maintain clean, safe dining room standards; enforce responsible alcohol service policies; keep required certifications and documentation up to date.
