Degree in American Sign Language (ASL) Interpreting, certified ASL Interpreter credentials, and 1+ year of experience as an ASL Interpreter in educational settings. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

• Professional proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL)
• Experience working as a Sign Language Interpreter, preferably in a school setting
• Ability to provide clear, age‑appropriate interpretation for young learners

• Flexibility and a positive, patient approach

• Serve as a dedicated 1:1 interpreter for a kindergarten student during the  school year
• Facilitate real‑time communication between the student, peers, and staff
• Collaborate with an ASL‑fluent classroom teacher to maximize the student’s learning success
• Adapt interpreting techniques to match the student’s evolving skills
• Support the development of literacy, social interaction, and classroom participation through effective interpretation
• Engage with education staff to ensure a seamless educational experience for the student
