Perform weld operations in a production environment focused on safety, quality, and teamwork. Job details are dependent on duties assigned but in general consist of the following:
- Weld parts and sub-assemblies to specification using various welding processes.
- Adjust voltage, heat, pressure, and speed to maintain quality.
- Read and comprehend work instructions and follow established procedures.
- Utilize manufacturing tools to record data and keep records for quality and maintenance.
- Check results for conformance to specifications and make necessary corrections.
- Operate power driven equipment such as forklifts and industrial trucks to move material, parts, and equipment.
- Use various types of tools and equipment to perform work - including but not limited to CNC / robotic welding equipment, safety equipment, manual arc welders, grinders, hoists, fixtures, and applicable hand and power tools.
- Lubricate, check, and clean work equipment and tooling.
- Assist and support other team members.
- Clean work area and perform other miscellaneous duties inherent to the job.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Must have at least one of the following:
- High School Diploma or G.E.D.
- National Career Readiness Certificate (NCRC)
- At least 3 years of manufacturing work experience
- Must have a weld certification (or equivalent) or at least 6 months of experience welding in a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to perform manual tasks related to described job duties for duration of work shift; including but not limited to frequent standing, walking, bending, lifting, and performing of repetitive actions.
- Ability and willingness to work any shift and potential overtime (including weekends).
- At least 2 years of experience welding parts and sub-assemblies in a manufacturing environment utilizing GMAW/MIG and GMAW/FCAW welding applications.
