Manufacturing Engineer Weld
Job Location:
Thibodaux, LA
Job Duration: 12 months
Shift: 1st shift: 6:00 - 4:30 PM Monday – Friday
** Candidate must be opened to work 2nd shift if needed by client 3:30 PM - 3:00 AM - The worker would be notified in advance. **
Metatarsal safety boots all other PPE will be provided by client
OT hours will be requested
Major Purpose:
Provide support and/or assistance to Manufacturing Engineering. Support at this level typically involves performing basic and routine tasks using existing procedures for process control and documentation.
Major Duties:
Description of the major duties performed in this job:
- Maintains a safe work environment
- Updates the processes and routings for manufactured parts
- Documents work instructions for manufacturing parts
- Records data in SAP
- Supports key departmental and organizational directives
- Accomplishes quality and organizational mission by performing other duties as needed
- Communicates easily and effectively with individuals and teams including cross functional teams
- Supports Continuous Improvement initiatives
- Maintains 5S (Sort, Set, Shine, Standardize, Sustain) standards
- High School Diploma or GED with 1 or more years’ experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Ability to read, interpret and understand prints and specifications
- Ability to perform basic computer functions
