SummaryThis position supports factory manufacturing operations by managing nonconforming materials to ensure compliance with quality standards, regulatory requirements, and internal procedures. The role involves close collaboration with Quality, Operations, and Supply Chain teams to resolve nonconformances efficiently and prevent recurrence.
Responsibilities- Support factory operations by segregating and facilitating the disposition of nonconforming materials.
- Ensure proper segregation, labeling, and containment of nonconforming products to prevent unintended use.
- Maintain control of the nonconforming material areas.
- Update and maintain records pertaining to nonconforming material and corrective action status.
- Review disposition input from others to ensure required data is present and complete.
- Perform necessary activities related to the disposition of materials, including rework, repair, scrap, and return to vendor.
- Compile and distribute periodic reports of corrective action activity.
- Accomplish quality and organization mission by performing other duties as needed.
- Familiarity with Thibodaux manufacturing processes, including primaries, weld, paint, and assembly.
- Understanding of nonconforming material processes.
- Knowledge of basic analysis techniques such as percentages, Pareto charts, and control charts.
- Ability to drive a fork truck and Gator/golf cart to move nonconforming material.
- Ability to lift 35 lbs.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills.
- Proactive problem‑solving abilities.
The typical base pay for this role across the U.S. is: $25.68 - $25.68/hr non‑exempt positions are eligible for overtime at a rate of 1.5 times the base hourly rate for all hours worked in excess of 40 in a work week, or as required by state or local law. Final offer amounts, within the base pay set forth above, are determined by factors including your relevant skills, education and experience.
